IT Tools and Solutions for Better Irrigation Management

Under the Water User Association Development Project funded by USAID, CADI provided short-term technical assistance to the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry to develop a computerized M&E system to track and evaluate the newly registered WUAs in 104 irrigation systems. The goals of the WUA Information System (WUA IS) are to (1) develop an user friendly database for monitoring and evaluating the WUA development, (2) implement data quality assurance and quality control measures, (3) utilize the data to select irrigation systems for infrastructure rehabilitation, and (4) provide sustainable and scalable IT tools and solutions for the Ministry.
