Platte and Colorado Simulation Model

IT Tools and Solutions for Better Water Resources Planning and Management

CADI developed a relational database for storing water resources tabular data required for water resources planning and management activities within the Denver Water Department. Additionally, CADI designed and developed: several data management interfaces (DMIs) required for the transfer of data between BESTSM (a river simulation model) and the database management system (DBMS); a graphical user interface (GUI) to integrate the GIS, DBMS and BESTSM components of the Platte and Colorado simulation model (PACSM); and a decision support system for water resources planning and management.
