IT Tools and Solutions for Better Watershed Management

Under the UNDP-funded Environmental Management of Watersheds - Development of Institutional Capabilities Project, CADI (1) established a watershed monitoring program; (2) designed and built a national watershed database using Microsoft Access; (3) populated the database with available data sets; (3) classified and ranked all 26 Watershed Management Units using ArcView GIS; (4) developed standard procedures for classifying and ranking watershed management units; (5) prepared a technical report - Development of a National Watershed Classification and Monitoring Program - providing details on the methodologies, procedures, criteria, results, and recommendations for follow-up.
