Established a fully operational water resources data center with the latest software and hardware. At the heart of the Water Resources Data Center (WRDC) system is embedded new software - ESRI's ArcSDE which permits spatial data to be stored with tabular data in Microsoft's SQL Server. ArcIMS and Borland Delphi were used to design, construct, and deploy Internet-based applications to enable users to get "live" answers to their queries on-line, rather than simply presenting static maps and tables from the database. The Website provides a gateway to the water resources data warehouse and permits dynamic generation of output from the integrated tabular and spatial data holdings of the system.
