Provided technical assistance to evaluate the achievements of the Government of Indonesia's irrigation investment and management program, and helped to define a medium-term (5-10 year) irrigation strategy, policy framework, and action plan to improve the performance and technical, financial, social, and environmental sustainability of irrigation investment and management. The TA team critically analyzed: (1) the performance and sustainability of the recent investments in irrigation, (2) the impact of programs for O& M and related support services for WUA's and irrigated agriculture, and (3) the market-led revolution of irrigated agriculture. The TA identified options for future irrigation investments and suggested revisions of irrigation policy mechanisms.
